Kxng KO’s Shameless Plugs X (Uncut Gems)
“Shameless Plugs X” is an ep with an Original and Diverse sound. Kxng KO seems to approach music with a southpaw style delivery. His beat selection and content choices seem extremely unorthodox. Even his song structure is different. Songs like “Baking Bread X” have one chorus and one verse. Who does this guy think he is?? Finish the song bro! But the truth about art is this. Less is more, and somehow even within the uncommon song formats, Kxng KO gets his point across.
The Shameless Plugs ep has a message. Be resilient, fearless, and determined on your road to success and financial freedom. Do your own research, do what you have to do to survive, but when. a better and cleaner opportunity becomes tangible you take it and run it up!
We had a moment to sit down with Kxng to discuss the EP and more…
1) What keeps you motivated when it comes to your music?
Music used to be a dream, but now it’s my reality. Creating music is a form of therapy for me. It’s a really important part of my mental health.
2) When you think of “Vintage Media Group”, what comes to mind?
When I think of VMG I think of a platform that sheds light on dope new music. So many songs are released daily it’s nice to get a spotlight sometimes.
3) Being that you are from Boston, what is the state of Hip-Hop there? How would you title your style of music?
Boston has always been full of talent. All different types of artists including Rappers, Singers, Producers and visual artists of all genres can be found in Boston. My city is a melting pot full of different cultures and influences. Boston is a World Class city with an underground scene that is talented beyond one’s imagination.
4) With your most recent EP “Shameless Plugs X” is Crazy NICE, I Really Like It… can you give us some details on how you came up with that EP?
Thx for listening. Make sure you Like, Share and Save! “Shameless Plugs X” is an encrypted message for sure. I always enjoy encouraging ppl to be their best selves without regret. Being a shameless plug basically means being a source of truth and resources, regardless of the status quo or popular opinion. When you see a song that ends in X know that’s me.
