Although the Trap Artist From California can even walk his track R.U.N. will be “RUNNING” through your nightmares for years to come. Coming from his deathcore background and also being respected alumni of the well-known ICON COLLECTIVE Kilo House entered the bass music world with a different perspective. With his Drop oriented tracks slamming your subwoofers, he will put the fun back into your life that you never knew was missing. Having influences ranging from blink 182 to $uicideBoy$ there is one theme that runs throughout all of his music, FUCK IT AND JUST HAVE FUN.
Kilo House has been quoted as saying “ people take life way too seriously, I write the Trap music that i do to hopefully show my fans the fun nature that life truly is. Turn up, and then Stay up.”
This quote might seem well and good but when you realize he does all of this wheelchair-bound it truly will put a smile on your face.
We had a moment to sit down with the LA native to talk about the new single and more…
1) What keeps you motivated when it comes to your music?
First and for most music is LIFE. The fact that as an artist I have the ability to make a small but long-lasting impact on others’ lives in a positive way is the single most motivating factor when it comes to my music.
2) When you think of “Vintage Media Group”, what comes to mind?
Whenever I hear the name Vintage Music Group the first thing that comes to mind is TASTEMAKERS.
3) Being that you are from Los Angeles, what is the state of Hip-Hop there? How would you title your style of music?
I feel like the state of music in LA as a whole is an ever-changing landscape. Due to our multicultural backdrop I feel that the state of hip-hop in LA is a melting pot of a genre-bending variety, such as with my own music. I am one of the co-founders of the genre TERROR Trap.
4) With your most recent music single, “R.U.N.” is DOPE, can you give us some details on how you came up with that song?
It was actually my first song back from a 3-year hiatus I had to take do to me almost losing my life to necrotizing pneumonia. In which time they had to do 3 surgeries and take out 1/3 of my right lung. So the fun nature and high octane vibes of the track R.U.N. is really my way of giving the world a fun yet Terrifying song to listen to in not only the good times but also in some of its most hard and trying times such as TODAY. I really never want this world to lose its fun and awe-inspiring nature.
5) Where can your fans & supporters find you online? Via Twitter, Facebook, etc.?
You can find me on all your favorite major multimedia platforms.
6) Who are some of your influences?
My influences range from $uicideboy$ to Blink-182 and everything in between.
7) Any Last Remarks?
Finally, I would just like to say “LIFE is way too short to take it to seriously and sweat the small stuff” TURN UP AND THEN STAY UP. And thank you to all my fans who have stuck with me throughout the years.
