We had a moment to sit down with the young OG from Canada to see whats NEW, and whats NEXT.
1) What keeps you motivated when it comes to your music?
What keeps me motivated with music is the fact that my music could potentially help someone with whatever they are going through in life. I try to make feel good music, so individuals have no choice but to start rocking there heads up and down, and fall into a good mood.
2) When you think of “Vintage Media Group”, what comes to mind?
When I hear about VMG I think about all the legends of Hip-Hop. VMG is a great platform for people to find the hottest artists in the game right now. VMG is great because they also find the “next up” artists also that many people will not know of yet.
3) Being that you are from Canada, what is the state of Hip-Hop there? How would you title your style of music?
I feel like the hip-hop scene in Eastern Canada is booming right now. Artists like Drake, Nav, Tory, The Weeknd, and more are all from the east. I am from Western Canada and music is not really heard out here. There is a couple artists that are known, but they end up moving out east. I feel like there is a lot of hidden gems on this side of the country with a lot of new sounds. As far as my music, I feel I can range from melodic, trap to RnB. I am a very well rounded artist that can do pretty much any sound.
4) With your most recent single “Racks On Me (feat. John Cardiff)” is doing Crazy numbers, I Really Like It… can you give us some details on how you came up with that song?
I was in the studio going through different beat packs that producers sent me, and I stumbled upon the beat. I started recording on the beat and the melody kept playing in my head. I started to freestyle, and then the song took on a mind of its own and came out pretty dope. I had an open verse on the song and I was thinking who would kill this? So I texted my boy John, he sent me back his verse and it was fire, so we ran with it!
5) Where can your fans & supporters find you online? Via Twitter, Facebook, etc.?
My fans can find me on Instagram, and twitter!
6) Who are some of your influences?
My biggest music influence and favourite artist is Nav. Nav is the first Canadian- Indian rapper ever to blow up, and he has being grinding for a decade+. I really like how he is mysterious and his music really speaks to me. He is someone I look up to in the music industry and I hope to meet him soon.
7) Any Last Remarks?
