Vintage Media Group Exclusive: Celebrity Realtor Douglas Parson Jr Tells All
Real Estate is a very powerful business. How long have you been in the business and is it something easy to get into?
I have been in the real estate business for over 2 decades, and real estate is definitely not the easiest thing to get into.
Being a celebrity realtor seems like a very stressful job. What is the day to day activity for a celebrity realtor like yourself?
Sometimes working with celebrities can be stressful, so typically in a day when I find properties I first check the five year plan in the area, then I physically ride through the area and check for safety, potential crime, and conveniences for my client, it’s a whole process, I must make sure they are in great situations.
What cities do you practice being a realtor in, and how did you decide what cities you wanted to work in?
I work in Atlanta, And I “partner” with real estate agents in Miami, and California on deals with my celebrity clients.
Who are some celebrities that you have worked with, and who was the most difficult person or deal you had to do?
Some of the celebrities I have and continue to work with is, Safaree, Young Joc, Big Producers like Go Grizzley, Zaytoven, Coach K of Quality Control, I also have worked with Iren Golder & ATL Jacob on a huge commercial building that will be a premier recording studio soon! I wish I could tell you who was difficult to work with. I can tell you I won’t work with certain celebrities again, EVER.. LOL
What are some of the crazy things that can happen when putting together a deal, and what was the craziest thing that happened to you?
Every now and again you have a situation where a client loves the property today and is just going on and on about how they love it! The next day after they speak with different family, and friends they say it’s terrible, they don’t want it. But they loved it hours ago and that can drive you crazy.
Let us know what your book is about and what made you write it?
My book is simply showing you how to make money and build a legacy through flipping real estate. I break it down to the simplest form and give it to you raw and uncut. I also had my team such as my preferred lenders, credit repair, and closing attorneys as well as hard money guys break down the entire process so that my readers can really analyze the whole process from the beginning to the end.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 to 10 years?
In the real estate business building a legacy, and helping people grow their portfolio through real estate.
