RJ Griffith has teamed up with fellow Chicago artists Caleb Taylor, Pia Renee, Rhyan Lamarr, Genius Picaso (producer), and Charlie Davis (writer) to create his new single titled “Survive” that along with the music video was released on Monday, September 7th, 2020. The song’s hook, “don’t you get fed up, just pick your head up, just lift your hands high, we gon’ survive” encapsulates trying to survive everything that is going on in the world today from the coronavirus pandemic to social justice issues.

In hopes of making a lasting difference with this song, RJ along with the other artists involved decided to create and sell a protective face mask with the single cover art on it with all profits going towards charity. All proceeds will be split between two amazing organizations, The Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund, which supports nonprofit organizations in vulnerable neighborhoods suffering from the effects of the virus, and the Chicago based By The Hand Kids Club, which helps children who live in under-resourced neighborhoods have an abundant life.

Here at VMG we love the song and what it stands for and applaud RJ and the other artists involved for their efforts in trying to make the world a better place. The uplifting lyrics also help us to remember that together we will fight to survive the virus and to promote equality and peace between all people. We can’t wait to hear more music like this from RJ and company in the near future!

“Survive” can be found on all major streaming platforms by searching RJ Griffith, Survive and face masks can be purchased by going to rjgriffith.com/survive.
