But not Ray-J! Despite the controversial single art for the song and the controversial lyrics, he goes ahead and puts out a controversial video. In an interview for Karen Civil he claims it has nothing to do with Kim Kardashian and it’s all fun and games. He also goes on to say that his new album will be centered around some of his own experiences. He pretty much contradicted himself all in one interview. In the visual for “I Hit it First” directed by J.R. Saint, the subliminals thrown at KimYe were so real, even a blind person could see it. In the lyric “I had her head going north and her ass going south, but now baby chose to go West” there was a visual of an interstate sign directing west to Chicago. If that wasn’t enough, the leading lady in the video resembled Kim K, there was a scene with her in the bed being taped on a home video recorder, and to end the video Ray-J is laying in the bed watching a mock show of “Kim” on a mock E News. Is this what you would call career suicide?
