So we all know about the yearly list that MTV composes titled “MTV’s Hottest MC’s in the Game”. Just days ago the list was announced for 2013, here it is in case you’ve missed it.

Taking the Number 1 spot is Kendrick Lamar, whom I think is more than deserving of his position. Good Kid, M.A.A.D City dropped in October and was absolutely phenomenal.
Joining in at Number 2 is 2Chainz! “Based on a Tru Story” was a crazy joint! He had 7 singles off this album, most of which got crazy plays on the radio, not to even include the bangers that he was featured on!
Claiming that top 3 spot is Ricky Rozay. My mans was dishing out the hits this past year and was posted on somebody’s blog every other day with a new track or video.
Making it unto the top 5 is Nas. It about time he starts getting some well deserved credit.
Rounding up the top 5 is Drake. My mans Drake, once again doing big things without the release of an album! “ Kobe about to lose a hundred fifty m’s, Kobe my nigga I hate it had to be him, Bitch you wasn’t with me shooting in the gym” Had to be one of the most quoted Drake lyrics this past year. His features in 2012 went dumb!
Next at number 6 is Detroit’s own Big Sean. Between his album, mixtape that dropped over the summer and his appearance on Cruel Summer, I can see why MTV placed him on the 2013 list.
Lucky Number 7, Kanye West….yea we’ll come back to this…
At number 8 is that Pretty Motha F#cka A$AP Rocky. A$Ap did his thing and most def made his mark on the hip-hop scene in 2012.
Ain’t no way around it, Future gets the 9th spot. Magic, Itchin, Neva End, and this new joint he has with Rihanna “ Love Song”, yea we’ll be hearing a lot more from him during 2013.
And to close out at number 10 is Meek Mill. Dreams and Nightmares was that work, which featured one of my favorites “Used to Be”.
