How long have you been working in Entertainment?

I’ve been in sports and entertainment really feels like all my life. I grew up in early years in California, and then moved to Dayton, Ohio. I played AAU for Parkside Panthers from 7 years old to eighteen years of age. That really helped me establish a lot of sports relationships playing basketball all over the United States of America and then playing Prep school basketball at Redemption Christain Academy in Troy, New York with the #1 player in highschool at the time Lamar Odom.

Then playing college basketball as well. Those years playing basketball really shaped me and helped me later in the sports & entertainment industry. In Dayton, Ohio I was around my step-dad Charles Sanders, and my uncle Johnnie Wilder Jr. the co-founder and lead vocalist of the international R&B/funk group Heatwave, who were popular during the late 1970s with hits such as “Boogie Nights”, “Mind Blowing Decisions” (which Wilder wrote), “Always and Forever”, and “The Groove Line”, who had famed group member songwriter/keyboardist Rod Temperton who wrote Michael Jackson “Thriller” the all-time best-seller in music history.

We used to have to go to church with my mom, dad, brothers, sister, grandmother, grandfather, uncles, aunts, cousins, uncle Johnnie Wilder Jr. and my aunt Rosalyn Sanders. Officially I’ve been in the entertainment industry since 2006 working on the east coast, and then I arrived in Hollywood, California around 2008. I have to thank my friends Bradford Christian, Lia Ames, DJ STEVIE J, Michael Gardner Headliner Market Group, Ron Deberry who discovered Amerie, Jordan Tower, Naomi Lile, and more. They helped me get started in the entertainment industry on the east coast but I would have to say the west coast made me grow into who I’m today. For that I have to thank all my west coast friends very much.

What would you call yourself?

I guess I would have to say a music, business, marketing guru, and serial entrepreneur. In my Jay Z voice I’m not a businessman, I’m a business, man.” -Jay-Z.

What are the pros and cons of working with high power people?

Great question: The pros definitely are the things you learn, establishing great friendships, relationships, and access to things. The cons I would say there aren’t really any because you learn, grow, and remember that iron sharpens iron.

What business ventures have been your favorite and why?

I would have to say working with all these talented artists, professional athletes, and business people. They have all increased my business acumen, and personal growth.

Biggest lesson learned and what did it teach you?

I would say have your business in order, protocol and the ability to listen more than you talk. LISTENING PAYS!
