(New Exclusive Interview) Mark Cooper Talks The Release Of the Allspark With Vintage Media Group

1. How long have been creating music?

I have been creating music for about 15 years. I started rapping at about 17 and later became a producer in my early 20’s.

2. What made you want to start creating music?

I started creating music as a way of expressing myself throughout high school. Since I was an only child with both parents that worked a lot, i spent a lot of time alone at home. Life is never perfect and I wrote rhymes to express what I went through at the time. My main inspirations in music were compositions from cartoons and video games such as (Dragon Ball z, Pokemon, Sonic the Hedgehog, Double Dragon, and Contra) to name a few. As for artist inspirations it across the board. From Eminem and Jay z to Michael Jackson and Daft Punk. Music itself is a big inspiration

3. Breakdown your style and sound?

I would say my style is of course in the Hip Hop category but with a heavy influence in video games, cartoons, and nostalgic based topics. When I make my production for my projects, I like to bring in heavy synths, hard drums, and very soulful samples. Combining those elements really bring a foundation to what I love to create.

4. What makes you different from the other artist creating music in today’s time?

What makes me different than the other artists in today’s time would be how I like to make music that is clearly out of the box. Since I make music that categorized in the genre called “nerdcore” it makes it a lot easier to make the type of music that could be considered a “breath of Fresh air” when it comes to mainstream music.

5. Let’s talk about “The Allspark.” What is the concept behind the project?

Well, The allspark is the second album in continuation of my first project “I am Player One” The synapsis is that I started playing a video game that I actually get stuck in called “nerdcore” The Concept of the game is a metaphor of being in a very niche lane in a music genre. So its a story that takes your on a journey of how I grow as an artist in nerdcore.

6. How long have you been working on this project?

I have been working on this project for about a year.

7. Will this project be a series with other projects.

Yes, this project will be a trilogy series.

8. Where do you see your brand and career in the next 5 years?

I would like to see my career being a household name in Detroit Nerdcore.
