Boston rapper and Cuttin Class artist King Sterlz presents “Holy Sound”, featuring a guest appearance from Kool A.D. (formerly of Das Racist) and cuts from DJ Milkcrates. “Holy Sound” is produced by DJ Detonate, who produces the entirety of Royalty, Sterlz’s new album which also features Winna, April Stanford, American Antagon1st, Hayk and DJ Sasan. Three music videos have been released so far from Royalty, for “My Life”, “Dreamers” and “Summertime Trap”. “”The inspiration for ‘Holy Sound’ was just being sick of hearing people rap about garbage,” says Sterlz. “When somebody raps you can tell if its legit, or if they’re just rapping words that rhyme. It’s just about fronting – not even in the rap game, but in life.” Regarding Kool A.D.’s appearance, Detonate says “I reached out [to Kool A.D.] and we were able to link after a Das Racist show that came through Boston. We told him we were trying to do something a little different and he was down. His verse was right on the mark. Smart and extra weird.”
