Me and Kanye were actually talking on the phone the other day… About me wanting to start my own direction, and he got because he’s trying to start his own new path, and trying new things as an artist. And he was just like ‘Man, I feel you. It’s cool.’ This is just from a business standpoint. There’s no beef with anyone on the label. It’s all love.
Yesterday with an interview with L.A. Power 106 Kid Cudi talks new album, new single, oh yea and he’s leaving Kanye’s Good Music label. The blogs are going crazy and trying to make it as if there is a beef stewing between the two, but this is not true. Kid Cudi made it known that this was strictly business, nothing at all personal. Sometimes in order to grow as a person, artist, etc. it is necessary to leave the norm that you’re used to. After making this big announcement it is uclear what label he will sign with at this point but his album Indicud is still set to release April 23rd under his former Good Music label. Take a listen to Cudi’s new single “Girls” featuring Too $hort below.
