The Star Cleaner™ brand name was inspired by its compatibility with Converse’s Chuck Taylor footwear; however, since the product launched in 2014, Star Cleaner™ has been proven effective on a variety of footwear brands including Nike, Vans, Adidas and many more. A simple ‘apply and wipe’ liquid formula currently sold in 1.5oz containers, creator Alex Nicolazzi began development of the product shortly after his first Converse shoe purchase. Having tried a variety of methods to keep the soles of his shoes clean, Alex was committed to inventing a product that would be a solution to the common cultural problem – dirty white shoe soles. Luckily for Alex, it didn’t take long to perfect his super-secret formula, and at the age of 25, he officially began selling Star Cleaner™ online. In 2015, Star Cleaner™ began expanding the product line with the release of Ultra Shield™, a liquid repellent for fabrics & leathers.
