On a personal note, Yeezy is one of my favorite rappers, when I saw him at number 7 I was not offended as a fan. It’s not like MTV said this is the list for the hottest MC’s in the game Ever…it was just for 2013, based off of work from 2012. The people who came before him came with that heat over the course of the year. Ye called into the Angie Martinez show on New York’s Hot97 making some bold statements. It wouldn’t be him if he didn’t. Of course he believes that he is better than being placed at number 7, based off of cruel summer and in verse in the diamonds remix. But he also had a few things to say about some other people in the game. Stating that Big Sean “bodies records” and should have been in the top 5, and claiming that Lil Wayne is the number 1 rapper in the world. It was more than evident that Kanye felt some type of way about the list and made it known that he gave Sway Calloway his first tv and proceeds to hang up.
