(New Exclusive Interview) K Tea Talks Music And New Project With Vintage Media Group

1. K Tea, how long have you been creating music?

In high school a couple of my homeboys and I played with the music, but it wasn’t until the past year when I decided to actually take the music serious.

2. K Tea, what are the pros and cons of being an indie artist in today’s time?

Pros: I like the fact that people can relate to my music, I’ve always had issues with people understanding me. So I feel like with my music I actually get my point across. Another plus is the is the journey, the work and grind brings excitement.

Cons: As a new artist a lot of people will sale you dreams. Sorting out who’s really rocking with me and who’s not . Wasting money and time with people who just out for a dollar and not the dream.

3. K Tea, how did you get the name “K Tea” and what does it mean?

I was known as KT already. One day as I’m in the studio I was letting some of my partners listen to some of my music. One of them was like you said some real shit there and I responded realspill. So I kind made it like a slogan K-TEA.RealSpill.

4. K Tea, you just dropped a video for “Myself And I.” What is the concept behind the video?

The concept behind this video is dope s/o to my director Isabelle and my production by blockbeattaz. So basically the visual shows how cruel people can be. No matter how hard you try to please everyone it’s impossible. It shows how people betrayed and turned on me. So I rather be solo cause I can never do myself wrong.

5. K Tea, how did “Myself And I” come about?

I was scrolling on YouTube one day looking through beats, and I had a lot going on in my life at the time. I felt like I really ain’t have nobody to count on other then myself and I’ll give my last to people who wouldn’t do the same. So I said I’m out of favors.

6. K Tea, do you plan on touring this year?

Yes, I do plan on making moves and traveling to different city to spread my movement around.

7. K Tea, what is the hardest thing in life you had to overcome and how did you overcome it?

My hardest thing I had to do in life was really focus on myself. I sent so my time trying to do for others and keep them happy. I would hide my own problems and pain deep inside. I really never knew how to express myself until I started recording music.
