As he wraps up a year that saw him take great strides forward, Miami native J NICS puts a proverbial bow on things by giving his fans a 2 for 1 gift in the form of a couple new loosies. “Low” is an original track that embodies everything that the actual phrase “riding low” stands for, as it describes the mind state and lifestyle of the bottom. NICS smooth demeanor sits right at home over VanCity Beats production, with a chopped and slowed Dr. Dre sample chanting on the hook. “No Angels” has him getting his verbal exercise on, jabbing back at a certain Harlem rapper over his own instrumental who took a few shots of his own at the 305 on the original track. Not one to just let things slide, he puts the city on his back with a quick 16 that gets the job done and then some. Neither of the songs are attached to any projects but he says he has just broken ground on his first official studio album he is calling ZULU. The project will drop closer to the middle of 2014 with singles and videos from past projects coming in the very near future. This is the official closing of a chapter as he looks to start another and hit the ground running at the top of the new year.
