Hidekyuki Kuromiya – One More Beat

Hidekyuki Kuromiya – One More Beat

Hideyuki Kuromiya has been working on this album with the advice of many A&R people from SKIO MUSIC, a Canadian music platform service.

It’s lo-fi music based on hip-hop beats and sampling jazz, with a
deliberately large covering of noise to compensate for the lack of
higher frequencies.
He started his career as DJ KURO in 1995 in Japan and has played in
Shibuya, Roppongi, and Ginza. At the same time, as a beatmaker, he
released an EP on CD in 2009, which was highly praised by Detroit DJ
Claude Young. (His then-wife and I worked at the same place, so he was
able to visit him at his place and ask him about EP.)
Since then, he has released several albums and songs for both domestic and international artists.

Besides KURO, he has several other aliases.
KUROMIYA, DJ Kromier, hb
His real name is Hideyuki Kuromiya Hideyuki Kuromiya.

In 2015, as hb, he participated in Disquiet Junto, a composition project
organized by Disquiet, a San Francisco-based ambient music blogger, and
was featured on his blog.

Then he won 2nd place in the Stones throw beat battle (STBB) which was
held on the Stones throw records website message board. However, the beat
battle has since been kicked out of the website and is now independent
with Netherlands artist Joa Gymshoe as the initiator.

His latest release is a remix of Mia Kaj, a new female singer/songwriter from Japan.
