Heading To A Music Festival? Take These Tips To Heart!

Christmas is over and we’re heading towards the brighter days again. With them of course comes festival time and all the prep that goes with it.

Get Ready To Walk

Music festivals last all day, which means you will be on your feet for a substantial period of time. Think about your normal footwear. Will it hold up throughout the day? If the answer is no, put some thought into what you are going to pack for the festival. You need tennis shoes that feel good on your feet and that will help support you. Also, tennis shoes are better than flip flops because they will protect your feet from all the dirt and grime. If you want supportive sandals then Olukai make some stylish ones that could work.

Think about it; do you really want to step into a port a potty with flip flops on? However, don’t buy anything expensive, because when the festival is over, it is likely that the shoes will need to be trashed.

Remember Your Chapstick

Most people remember to put on sunscreen if they are going to be outside all day. However, don’t neglect your lips either. Make sure that you put on a nice chapstick that has SPF in it. You will keep your lips moist and protected during a time that they need that protection the most.

Cover Your Skin

It’s generally not cold outside during a music festival. You will be in the sun, and as a result, your skin will be exposed to dangerous UV rays. Make sure you cover up with sunscreen and a hat to protect your skin. You would be surprised at how quickly you can burn, and a bad sunburn has the potential to completely ruin your experience. So, don’t neglect to take this step.

Bring A Spray Bottle

Remember that heat we talked about before? You are going to be spending most of your time outside, and you will be moving around. Getting hot is part of the experience, but you don’t want to get TOO hot. A spray bottle can help rejuvenate you when you feel like you need to head inside to get some relief.

Start The Day Off Right

Many people don’t feel like they’ve had the true music festival experience unless they enjoy a drink with their breakfast. Opt for a bloody Mary if you go this route. Tomato juice has a lot of vitamins and potassium but not much sugar. Therefore, it is the perfect early morning drink.
