What are some of your favorite tracks on the album?
I like “Real Niggaz In My Circle,” “You Need That Real Ish” featuring Sean Price and Tek, “Welcome To My Life,” all hardcore rhymes. Those are a good representation of me. I got a couple of joints that are real nice and that you can get down to.
What are your plans after the album comes out?
If we could, we’d get to the studio and work on the next album. But that ain’t gonna happen, can’t really get into it. So basically after the album drops, I’m focusing on Comeback Kings, that’s a reality show that’ll air on BET. So basically, that’s the main thing that I’ll be doing after the album drops.
Who do you think is going to win the NBA championship?
Cleveland, man! ‘Cause they got LeBron. [Laughs] They got LeBron, they got Kyrie Irving, they got Kevin Love. Once they really start playing with each other and playing together, I think they gonna take it. I like Curry and the Golden State Warriors to come out of the West to play the Cavs in the Finals. But the Cavs are taking it.
I appreciate you taking the time out to talk to me. Is there anyone else you want people to know about the album?
I just want to say if you love it, you love it, if you hate it, you hate it. This wasn’t an album for the people. This was an album for me. I just came back from a stroke, this album was a try out. This is the one where people tell me yes or no and that’s what I like. I just want people to understand and be aware of what I’ve been going through.
