Once again, Nike and Kevin Durant are honoring his Aunt Pearl, who bravely battled breast cancer before passing in 2000. Each year, a pink and white colorway of Durant’s signature sneaker is released, celebrating the woman who played a large role in his upbringing.
This year, the Nike KD 8 does the honors, dressed in a pink and turquoise floral print with black Swoosh branding. The shoe rides atop a white and pink sole to carry out the annual theme.
The sneaker release date is set for Monday, Feb. 22.
