This project is the recently released an highly anticipated music video from Adonis Butler and MiiKØ. A collaboration from the duos upcoming EP “ As I Am”. The visual describes blend of real life An paradise inside every artist.
VMG had a moment to link up with the Ohio native to checkout his DOPE new visual, and to find out what’s new.
1) What keeps you motivated when it comes to your music?
Well, as far as motivation I find it easy to get inspired. I like to pick out things in my life that give me perspective or get my thoughts moving. Otherwise I like to lookin internally to find the inspiration I need.
2) When you think of “Vintage Media Group”, what comes to mind?
I envision unique brands of music. Highlighting artist with there own sound an paving the way for there fans to be involved.
3) Being that you are from Ohio, what is the state of Hip-Hop there? How would you titled your style of music?
I think the Ohio Hip Hop scene is growing, there are lots of talented artist grinding to reach goals on local and regional levels but on a national stage we still don’t have the the big artists we need to thrive.
4) With your most recent music video “As I Am” is FIRE… can you give us some details on how you came up with that song, and visual?
So for the recording of the track we wanted something with an anthem feel. Mike had already started the production and when I joined the session, so we tossed around ideas an experimented until we found the vibe we wanted with the hook. Then we chose the concept of “Take Me As I Am” and the lyrics fell in place. Video wise, we just wanted to have a tale of two sides to every artist. A daily grind aspect with the city scape an warehouse scenes and the paradise type get away with the piano scenes An color effects. To wrap it all up, “As I Am” is a reflection in every artist trying to balance a life of creativity and down to earth obligations.
5) Where can your fans & supporters find you online? Via Twitter, Facebook, etc.?
They can find me:
Facebook: Adonis Butler
6) Who are some of your influences?
Awe man, influences for me are all over the place. I grew up on classic hiphop from the 90s, a lot of 2pac and Outkast. The older I got the more I branched out and now I listen to everything from Black Keys & Bad Rabbits to J.Cole & Kendrick. I will say lately I’ve been into the 6lack, Sonder & THEY. Great music.
7) Any Last Remarks?
I just want to say thank you for your time. I appreciate everyone and all platforms trying to help artist like myself. I have the collab EP with mike coming out soon along with a solo mixtape dropping before the album. So stay tuned and as always thanks for the support!
