April 22, 1978 Bob Marley held what called the One Love Concert at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica. The concert drew over 32,000 people, with proceeds going towards sanitary facilities and housing for sufferahs in West Kinston. The show was nicknamed “Third World Woodstock”.  During Marley and the Wailers set, they performed Lion ofJudah, Natural Mystic, Tranchtown Rock, Natty Dread, Positive Vibration, War, Jammin, One Love/ People Get Ready, and Jah Live. The monumental show was held during the time of a political war between the opposing parties Jamaican Labour Party, and the People’s National Party. Music is always a great way to bring folks together, if even just for that day.
