Rugged, blunt and paradoxically controversial are what adjectives that can be accurately used to describe the sound of the merge between “graffiti” artist emcee Regimental Oneton and conscious revolutionary-oriented emcee, Mickey Boston Kovaks. The two emcees equate for a rather obscure duo of solo emcees coming together to birth a cut-throat boombap product that is idiosyncratically uncanny to say the least.
While Tame One and Cage came together to bring Leak Bros., the collusion of two unlikely solo emcees always brings about a spontaneous gem. The obscure and rugged boombap product in which spraycan artist, Regimental Oneton, and activist emcee, Mickey Boston Kovaks bring to the fore is one that is boombap, old school and yet contemporary.
