“All that shit Talkin I know I’m such a big Deal No Promotions, no commercials, And No Tour. Still Sold 300k Copies Almighty,” -Chief Keef via Instagram

It has been 1 year since the release of Chief Keef’s debut album “Finally Rich”. Interscope Records wrote up a sweet deal for the then 17 year old Chi-town rapper. The deal is worth $6 million, with a $440,00 advance, $300,000 in recording cost for Finally Rich, and additional monies for his own label Glory Boyz Entertainment, a subsidiary of Interscope.
But this whole deal was contingent upon one thing: Album sales. According to the contract Interscope has the right pull the plug on the deal if at least 250,000 units are not moved. Currently, only a little over 150,000 albums have been sold. There has been no word yet from Interscope on what’s to come from the short-comings of Finally Rich.
