Whoever thought hip-hop would take it this far?
The 2013-2014 schedule of the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington DC for the first time will include the art of Hip-Hop. There will be a week long event called “One Mic : Hip-Hop Culture World Wide”. The function will include a mix of music, djing, and graffiti. Nas will be hitting the stage as the featured guest performing tracks from “Illmatic” rapping with musicians from the National Symphony Orchestra. Also set to appear is K’naan, and Puertorican musicans Callel 3.Besides great performances, the graffiti exhibition is something that you are not going to want to miss during the week’s festivities.
