G-Field was due to stand trial for allegations of felonious assault on April 15th 2013. However, during his pre-trial hearing on April 10th 2013 the judge presiding over his case granted a motion for a continuance filed by the prosecuting attorneys which led to his trial date to be rescheduled to July 22nd 2013. The motion for the continuance was filed and granted based on the grounds that the prosecution has not being able to locate key witnesses that are scheduled to testify on behalf of the state of Ohio.
G-Field has released the following statement through his publicist: “I’ve been looking forward to my day in court since December 16th 2012, the date my original trial was set. The prosecution has been granted two separate continuances, when in fact I was never given one continuance to hire additional legal counsel. While I do believe in the justice system, justice is not automatic! It must be fought for. Never the less, I’m still standing strong while keeping the faith. I’ll never let them see me frown; I’ll even smile when I’m down. I would like to thank all my supporters who have remained by my side during this trying time.”
