DJ Mustard’s protégé is prepping her second EP of 2016 …

10 Summers signee and protégé of DJ Mustard, songstress Ella Mai made waves with her debut EP Time. She is now planning to bookend the year with the forthcoming release of her second drop of 2016 Change.

Described as “a heartfelt throwback to ’90s R&B,” Ella has preceded that drop with a video for its first single, “10,000 Hours.” Produced by Mustard, she explains the reasoning for the song: “In the book Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell says you need to do something for 10,000 hours in order to have it down pat. My song applies that same theory to love.”
