Currensy – The Mack Book [VMG Approved]

Easily one of the hardest working rappers in the business, Curren$y liberates “The Mack Book” video. Serving as an ode to pimpin’ and old school Blacksploitation flicks, “The Mack Book” finds Spitta in his element–pulling on joints in the studio, riding around in classic cars, cruising through the streets of New Orleans and rhyming over an Alchemist instrumental. Featuring clips from The Mack and his “So High” video with French Montana, Curren$y keeps on pushing forward.

For an admitted stoner, Spitta’s work ethic serves as an inspiration for everyone out there taking bong rips and playing XBOX in their pajamas. In Dec., the New Orleans native dropped Canal Street Confidential, his fourth project of 2015. Just over a month later, the rapper released The Owner’s Manual, a six-track effort executive produced by Cool & Dre. On Feb. 14, the rapper and Alchemist came correct with The Carrollton Heist, which features “The Mack Book.”

This isn’t the first time the rapper and producer teamed up to shake the block. Back in 2011, the duo dropped Covert Coup. The ten track effort featured the likes of Prodigy, Freddie Gibbs, Smoke DZA and more. The chemistry between the two was undeniable and fans have been waiting for the past five years for them to work together again. The Carrollton Heist didn’t disappoint as Spitta tapped Action Bronson, Styles P and Lil Wayne for the project.
