So, what is a dickey?
It’s the best part of the shirt. A dickey is a versatile article of clothing that, when worn under another layer, gives the impression of a full shirt – without adding unwanted bulk to your frame.
Le Cou is a new women’s apparel company founded by Jessica Wingate and Elizabeth Azen Andia. Our intention is to reintroduce the dickey as a beautiful, practical and chic wardrobe basic.
Le Cou (The Neck, in French) elevates this long-time wardrobe basic by offering five collar styles, each in multiple color ways, made in beautiful cottons and silks. We’ve added adjustable side straps to secure your dickey in place. The strap length ranges from 6–12” on either side, providing flexibility where women need it most. We’re also designing a line of bows and ties, the accessories component to the Le Cou collection. Unexpected fabrics, like denim, combined with purposeful pops of color provide defined accents for both work and leisure looks. All of our pieces are manufactured in the United States.
