Billy GRAM – Nights At The Roundtable
0

Billy GRAM presents his magnum opus “Nights at the Roundtable”. A project that throughout his time creating it went through many transitions. What started off as just a project about smoking evolved into an album that according to Billy GRAM is a “more cohesive project than envisioned from the beginning”. Nights covers a variety of subjects but more importantly it showcases Billy GRAM’s ability to effortlessly float on all topics without sounding out of place. From braggadocio rhymes found in tracks like “Do it Better” and introspective trap talk in “Night like This”, GRAM shows he knows what he’s doing. Billy GRAM also shows love to his hometown in the sonically incredible track “The Field”, then he speaks to the ladies on tracks like “Where U Goin” and ultimately displays his aggressive, nobody is better than me style on tracks like “Scouts Honor”. Just when you think you have Billy GRAM figured out he hits you with deep storytelling tracks like “Mary Mac” and also fun, albeit controversial, upbeat tracks like “The Offering”. The most refreshing part of Nights of the Roundtable are the features, none forced, all perfectly executed. Briantronic handles the bulk of production on Nights and their chemistry is undeniable throughout the project. Basically if you are looking for some meaningless turn up music that gets old quick then by all means, listen to nights once and move on. However, if you are looking for a collection of music that can be played from beginning to end continuously then understand…Nights at the Roundtable was made for you!
