Beyonce Directs Her Own Documentary On HBO

Beyonce will be kicking the New Year off right with a documentary about herself set to premiere February 16, 2013. Beyonce is teaming up with HBO to direct and star in the documentary. The project will combine footage of her on-stage performances with clips shot by Beyonce herself, and focus on her family life, including her return to the spotlight after the birth of her daughter. In Hollywood Reporter Beyonce states:

“HBO has a history of pushing every boundary with class and authenticity,Some of my favorite shows are on HBO, so I am excited that my film will be part of its bold programming. This film was so personal to me, it had to have the right home.”
